Courant.com says that one of the movies Elizabeth was in called Sweet Land will be shown on Friday at 2 p.m. at Kent Memorial Library in Suffield. Kent Memorial Library is at 50 Main St. Admission is free. Here is some info they give us on the film: Parents, if you want to expand your kids' moviegoing horizons, take them to see "Sweet Land." Tell them it stars "Esme Cullen" from "Twilight." Ali Selim's beautiful romantic drama is about Inge (Elizabeth Reaser), who travels to America in 1920 as a mail-order bride. Her intended husband, Olaf (Tom Guinee), a Norwegian immigrant, is annoyed that he was sent a German rather than a Norwegian, and anti-German sentiment is strong in the town in the wake of World War I. Most bigoted of all is the minister, who is supposed to marry them but refuses. But Inge is stubborn and refuses to go away. It is in English and also in German and Norwegian without subtitles. This was done for a reason, so the audience fully understands Olaf and Inge's confusion with each other. The story tells itself visually well enough that the subtitles aren't needed. I hope some of will will get the chance to see the film! Fyi: The film is PG. |

Chronogram has this little thing on the film saying that Elizabeth is the traveling companion. The Hudson Valley Program Group will be screening the film at theaters in the North East and you can go here for more info! Be sure to look on the left side of the page b/c you will see a new picture of Elizabeth as Liz in the film! The website also gives us more on who she plays saying: Against the Current is the story of Paul Thompson, (Joseph Fiennes), a man who sets out to swim the entire length of the Hudson River -- all 150 miles, from Troy, NY to Manhattan. Joining Paul is his best friend since childhood, Jeff (Justin Kirk) and Liz (Elizabeth Reaser), a teacher with nothing better to do during her summer break. However, the journey soon takes a troubling turn when Paul reveals that there is more to this adventure than Jeff and Liz originally thought. Realizing that the only way to help Paul is to continue with the swim, Jeff and Liz agree to stay on. They have this to say on production: The production incorporated four boats to facilitate the complicated nature of shooting on water. A picture boat and three support boats were used to capture the action of PAUL (Joseph Fiennes) swimming down the river with JEFF (Justin Kirk) and LIZ (Elizabeth Reaser) following behind. The Hudson Valley Program Group isn't the only place you can go to see the film! Recently, the Eclipse gang headed out for dinner after filming the graduation scene. I'm currently going through some of the pictures that are on the internet and have decided that majority of the pictures of Elizabeth will not be added to the gallery. Other sites describe some of the pictures as intrusive and i have to totally agree so you will not be able to view them from our site. Lets be a little respectful people.. Thank you. |

Oregon Live has news on Peter Facinelli and on the side of the page is a pictures of Carlisle and Esme with this at the bottom: Peter Facinelli and Elizabeth Reaser as the Best Vampire Parents Ever! in "Twilight." It's not much but I thought it was something good to post and I agree that Peter and Elizabeth are the best Vampire parents ever lol! :heart: |
